System Analysts (Murex - Banking)  
     
  Responsibilities:


- Provide expertise in the Decision Support Systems (DSS) used for trading on financial markets; this function implies understanding the inner-workings of the systems and analytical methods used in trading.


- Assist traders (and other business users) with analytical problems related to the DSS’s and trading in general.


- Participate in the rapid development of front and pricing and risk tools for market making activities.

- Co-ordinate the systems issues related to the trading of new products and ensure that these products are correctly modeled and risk correctly measured within the context of the systems.


- Establish a close working relationship with traders and understand the trading and risk management techniques used by each desk; establish a relationship of confidence in his/her expertise in the analytical side of financial markets.


- Facilitate the communication of Front Office requirements to IT developers, business analysts and project managers.


- Assist in validating the integrity of systems and in testing new systems / developments.


- Suggest improved use of technology to meet trading objectives.

Requirements:

- Candidates need to have a Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or any other related discipline from a recognize education institution with a solid mathematical component.


- Candidate must have good working experience in Murex.

- Candidate need to have strong knowledge of trading and risk management techniques in at least one financial market.


- He/she must have excellent problem solving skills with quick and intuitive mathematical skills.


- Incumbents need to have good software development skills including some programming (any language), testing, requirements analysis.


- Candidate need to have the knowledge of at least one major Treasury / Capital Markets DSS.
