Graphic and Layout Designer (For Magazine & Events Industry)

Responsibilities:

• Selected candidate will be allocated to 80% of job scope on magazine and 20% on events industry
• Publication: conceptualise ideas, liaise with editors, sales & marketing and production division
• Publication: design & layout of magazine, media kit, award brochures, marketing collaterals
• Events: design of posters, flyers, invitation cards, media releases, banners, etc
• Events: 3D design of backdrops, stage sets & props, exhibition booths, showcases
• Support day to day design and marketing operation to create above and below-the-line materials
• Monitor and collate market researches on the industry and competitors
• Liaison with clients, printers and contractors

Requirements:

• Excellent visual/design skills and conceptual ability
• Possess initiative and a creative mind
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to perform under pressure and meet tight datelines
• Meticulous and an eye for detail
• Strong ability in high resolution photo touch-up and preparation of artwork for magazines
• Excellent in customer servicing and handling of projects independently from inception to completion
• Proficient in Windows PC environment
• Highly-skilled in Microsoft Office applications inclusive of Microsoft Publisher,
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and preferably AutoCAD
• Experience in print graphic design, preferably with magazine designing and layout
• At least fundamental website designing skills
• Committed and willing to work long hours if needed
• Qualifications needed but not essential, related work experience benefits more
