I would be giving piano lessons at my apartment, which has an air-conditioned piano studio, at 25A Jalan Membina, right opposite Tiong Bahru MRT Station, at about a 3-min walk from the station.
I am a kind, dedicated and experienced teacher who has an immense passion and interest for Music, with a great enthusiasm in teaching, and will prepare students for the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) graded piano examinations, as well as music theory exams. Also, I can give lessons to those who would like to learn as a form of leisure.
I hold a Diploma in Piano Performance (DipABRSM) by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), which qualifies me to teach and I have been teaching at 2 Music Schools with students from Beginners to Grade 8, since 3 years back. Having graduated from Raffles JC, I scored Distinctions in my A-level Music Elective Programme (MEP) and O-level Music (A1). A pianist at numerous concert performances and a 3-time champion and first runner up prize-winner in Cristofori Music Piano Competitions, I studied the Piano under Ong Lip Tat, Singapore’s renowned Concert Pianist and Piano teacher and since teaching on my own, I have had a 100% pass rate for my students who went for the ABRSM graded exams (Practical and Theory) and about 70% achieving Merit or Distinctions in their ABRSM exams. Each piano lesson (individual) comprises both piano practical and music theory.
